40 i.plays now installed!!
Playdale have recently sold their fortieth i.play making them the leader in the electronic playground equipment market in the UK. To date thousands of children have enjoyed over 400,000 games on i.play units since the product launched in July 2007.
One of the most recent installations of i.play was part of an EU community initiative in Belfastto develop a park to compliment the nearby Grove Health and Wellbeing Centre. The i.play plays an integral part of the design with the aim of the park to encourage children to become more active.
Speaking at the opening of the park, the Deputy Lord Mayor, councillor David Browne said: “the playground is themed around health and features pieces of equipment which aim to get kids active. This concept ties in with our Healthy Places theme which is central to the city’s Open Space strategy.
It compliments the sporting activities already going on within the park and links to the range of facilities provided in the recently opened wellbeing centre with the children being encouraged to use the computer suite to log their scores”.
The Grove Health and Wellbeing park is a prime example of how the i.play unit is being used to promote fitness to children and teenagers. i.play’s are being installed in public parks and schools right across the country with a similar aim.
