i.play attracts national press!

The i.play system has attracted a wealth of local, regional and national press coverage and we are pleased to publicise that the product has appeared in the Sunday Times and on BBC Radio 4.

The Radio 4 coverage was part of a wider discussion regarding electronic play hitting the playground with i.play being the main focus. This feature was broadcasted on the You and Yours programme which is a consumer affairs programme discussing topical issues each day. With Radio 4 reaching just over 9.2 million listeners this was great coverage for i.play. The Sunday Times, which has a readership of over 3.3 million, covered a similar topic focusing upon the health benefits of electronic play with particular attention on i.play and the Nintendo Wii.

With childhood obesity being high on the agenda nowadays it appears that the health benefits associated with i.play are attracting attention from the national press. Recent findings from the National Child Measurement Programme show that nearly a quarter (22.9%) of 4 or 5 year olds in England are deemed either obese or overweight, with the figure rising to 31.6% by the time they are aged 10 to 11. These are worrying figures and a reason why products such as the i.play are crucial in attracting the 'Playstation Generation'.
